Tom joined Campbell Irvine Insurance Brokers as the office junior in 1988, meaning to use the time to work out what he actually wanted to do. He never left. Encouraged early on by the firm's founder, Ian Irvine, he found he had a genuine knack for broking, and he's been doing it ever since, being appointed Managing Director in 2000. After nearly four decades, that experience has become his specialism in its own right, particularly across commercial and high net worth insurance.

Tom's approach hasn't changed much in all that time: dedicated, personal service, real attention to detail, and no cross-selling for the sake of it. If there's a gap in your cover, he'll tell you, along with the options to fix it. Clients describe him as swift, professional and easy to deal with, which after 37 years of practice, isn't a surprise.

He lives in Surrey but is in the Kensington office most days. Outside of work, you'll find him watching Chelsea, at a concert, or spending time with family, which he'll tell you is what matters most.

Mike has been with Campbell Irvine Insurance Brokers 1981, and since then has built a specialism few brokers can match: high risk personal accident and business travel insurance. It’s a niche area of cover, and one he knows inside out, working with clients to find solutions for the kind of specific, often complex requirements that a standard policy doesn’t stretch to.

His approach is simple and direct: clients can speak to him as their broker to talk through exactly what they need, rather than working through layers of process to get an answer. It’s an approach that clearly resonates. One client recently took the time to thank him for his support, professionalism and partnership over the years they’ve worked together, describing how he’d helped them through difficult situations time and again, always with kindness and warmth — the kind of feedback that sums up what Campbell Irvine Insurance Brokers means by personal service.

Mike works remotely from home. Outside of work, he keeps active with the gym, table tennis and walking the dog.

David has been with Campbell Irvine Insurance Brokers since 2011, working mainly with commercial businesses and tour operators, with a particular specialism in property insurance - both residential and commercial. His days tend to start with claims updates and coverage queries, before moving on to negotiating terms with insurers to get clients the most competitive options at renewal or on new business.

He built his career the long way round, starting in car insurance in 2008 before moving into home insurance and eventually commercial. That grounding shows in how he works now: strong relationships, clear communication, and a genuine understanding of each client's business, backed up by quick response times. Clients tend to mention the same thing - that he's easy to reach and gives them clear, concise answers rather than the runaround.

David travels into the Kensington office every day. Away from work, he's usually out running, cheering on Aston Villa, or exploring Epping Forest with his daughter.

Joel's Campbell Irvine Insurance Broker story comes in two parts. He joined the firm in 2014 and spent five years learning the trade before leaving to run his own brokerage, Woodfords, from 2019. Five years on, the team persuaded him to come back, and in 2025, he did. He now works mainly with property owners and business owners, handling everything from new business and renewals to claims and relationship management.

His approach is straightforward: understand what actually needs protecting, then set out clear recommendations - must-haves, should-haves and nice-to-haves - so clients can make their own decisions with the full picture in front of them. It's an approach that's built some genuinely long relationships; several of Joel's clients have stayed with the same broker, him, for twenty years or more, and the feedback he gets consistently mentions how thoroughly he gets to know a business before recommending anything.

Joel works from the Kensington office. Outside of work he's usually with his wife Hollie and their two children, tending his allotment, or fitting in a mountain walk; he aims for at least two a year. He's a Cardiff City fan, plays the piano, and enjoys cooking for friends and family.

Matt has been with the Campbell Irvine Insurance Broker team since 2002, and today specialises in household and property owners insurance, covering both standard and high net worth clients. Most of his day is spent working directly with insurers to make sure clients are getting competitive rates alongside the right level of cover, whether that's a new policy or a renewal.

He started out in travel insurance before an opportunity brought him into the household team, which later grew to include property owners too. His approach is simple: be upfront and honest, so clients can make an informed decision rather than guessing. It's also, he'd argue, the real difference between working with Campbell Irvine and using a comparison site. There's room to actually talk through the specifics of your risk, rather than ticking boxes and hoping the cover fits. Clients tend to agree; the thing they mention most is simply that he's contactable and happy to answer questions.

Matt works from the Kensington office. Outside of work, he's usually with his wife and children, coaching his son's under-9s football team, or following West Ham - with regular trips to Wycombe Wanderers now the family's local club too.

Liz has been with Campbell Irvine Insurance Brokers for 17 years, specialising in tour operators and travel agents - a natural fit, given she spent 20 years in the travel industry with Thomson Holidays (now TUI UK) before joining the broking side. Day to day, she helps tour operators through claims and the legislation that governs the travel industry, and works on renewals to make sure clients get the best possible terms, whether they've been with Campbell Irvine Insurance Brokers for years or have just come on board.

She first came across the firm as a client herself, while working for a large insurer in the City, and was impressed enough by how Campbell Irvine Insurance Brokers did business to make the move across. That's shaped how she works now, building real rapport with clients, getting back to people promptly, and generally trying to make the renewal process feel a lot less stressful than it can be. It's an approach that tends to get noticed; clients often say she's the reliable point of contact they know they can count on.

Outside of work, Liz is a keen tennis fan, enjoys eating out, and can usually be found with her nose in a good crime novel.

Audrey has been part of Campbell Irvine Insurance Brokers since 1981, and in that time she's built some of the longest-standing client relationships in the business - a fair few going back decades. She started her career at a major insurer before moving across to Campbell Irvine Insurance Brokers, where she's handled a huge range of insurance over the years, including a deep specialism in motor cover, from personal and high net worth policies through to company fleets and commercial vehicles.

What clients tend to mention, time and again, is simply how much she cares about getting things right for them. She listens properly, follows through on what she says she'll do, and has fostered the kind of loyalty that leads to referral after referral. Several clients have gone out of their way over the years to say how much they value having her on the other end of the phone. For Audrey, that trust between client and broker is the whole point of the job.

She's office-based and always happy to help with a query, however big or small.

Yogi has been part of Campbell Irvine Insurance Brokers since 2009, bringing years of accounting experience to a role that keeps the business running smoothly behind the scenes. He looks after the company’s overall accounts, the kind of steady, detail-focused work that underpins everything clients see on the broking side, even if it happens largely out of view.

It’s a role built on consistency rather than front-of-house conversation, and after his time in the job, Yogi knows the business inside out. He’s office-based in Kensington, having joined Campbell Irvine Insurance Brokers on the strength of his accounting background and stayed because, by his own account, he found the right fit.

Outside of work, Yogi enjoys walking and spending time with his wife and son. Originally from Sri Lanka, he’s been a steady, familiar presence at Campbell Irvine for close to two decades.
